Favorite Bands

[glow=navy,2,300]I haven't seen a topic like this around here for a long time, so here we go. List your 5 favorite bands, (or as many favorite bands you can think of). For me, it is:
1. Green Day
2. Red Hot Chili Peppers
3. The White Stripes
4. 311
5. Blink 182

NOTE: I liked punk years before this whole "PUNK" fad came in.[/glow]

4. Newsboys (Christian Band, but i guess it counts)

This is really hard for me to think of, most of my favorite music comes from artists who fly solo, and I don't know most of their names.

Another They Might be Giants fan here. I also like bands that do songs in languages I can't understand, but not German, Spanish, Arab, or Hindi.

They sing all sorts of styles, but the key consistent is humor. Songs like "Particle Man", "The Sun is a Mass of Incandescent Gas", and the one that put them on the radio, "Birdhouse in your Soul". It's hysterical music, and they are much better at it than others like Weird Al.

I'm not sure comparing them to Wierd Al is that accurate. They have a style I haven't seen duplicated anywhere else. While I like them better than Wierd Al, there songs aren't that much like his. My favorites by them are Kiss Me Son of God, Spiraling Shape, and Man its so Loud in Here. They also do childrens songs like "Why Does the Sun Shine"(the sun is a mass of...).
