Um, i was wondering, i want a new RPG and i'm not sure if i should get the sequel? the old one at a tag sale or something? both ? neither? how is Golden Sun? Anybody played it?

I played it, but didn't really like it that much. It seemed like there was no character development and the plot was lacking, and the battle didn't seem to make up for it. But a lot of other people like it, so you might want to give it a try.

I LOVED Golden Sun. The fight's are fast paced and the gameplay is great, especially the spell system with the djinns. Also, there are many puzzles in the game and if you want a game to last. This is good, it has around 20 hours of gameplay (at least that's how long it took me to beat it). It's worth its price, definetly get it.

Goldensun is a great game, you should get it.  but that game is pretty easy to beat. |

Thx guys, guess i'll look for a used old GS or if not just get the sequel, sounds good, but i'll probly get advanced wars 2, i really loved the first one, however that might hinder my buying of GS2

If your going to get Golden Sun 2 then you must get Golden Sun 1 to understand the plot.

I played Goldensun 2, and its alot harder then the first one, now that i called a true RPG.

yea I've played it too and yes it is alot better than GS but I don't know the story could have been really lame since its in Japanese.

GS is a worth a try. I thought it was too easy... and the characters had NO personality at all.. Everyone had the same personality.. and those longass dialogues don't help either. There IS a flaw in the battle system but it's not so bad that you shouldn't play it. I guess this game can be fun the first time you play it.

A GS thread is back?
Well let's see,
it's easy, it has pretty graphics, the plot and characters are bad, I like the equipment, class system, and battle system, and there is a great fun factor. It's a decent RPG.

Golden Sun is just too mediocre. I wouldn't buy it. Wait for something different to come out. Golden Sun is just too typical and too flawed (the whole Djinn systems disrupts the balance of the game).

i think i have the stongest party on the planet because i was stupid enuff to level to get the thunder storm spell doesn't gs link to gs 2 to transfer stuff?
